Research services and packages are catered to your specific project. Please see the information below for hourly rates and add-on options or click here to download the complete fee schedule.
Research
All research projects begin with a $200 retainer fee that covers the first five billable hours. Additional time is billed at $40 per hour. Your contract will include an estimated and pre-approved amount of time based on the scope of your project. Hours beyond the original estimate are based on client approval.
Expense Reimbursement
Expenses incurred in the course of the research are reimbursed by the client. These expenses might include: fees for copies of records, fees charged by repositories for locating records, mileage, parking, and photocopies. If travel to a particular area is necessary, all travel expenses are reimbursed.
Your contract will include a pre-approved expense amount. Travel and additional expenses are based on client approval.
Add-On Options
Add-on pricing as follows:
- Printed report: $25 (up to 20 pages), $2/additional page
- Pedigree charts (digital / 8.5″ x 11″ printed): $5 / $10
- Large format pedigree charts and lineage posters: $75+
- Digital family tree database (GEDCOM file): $100
