All projects are different. The total research time depends on the scope of the question(s), the availability of records for the time and place of interest, and your budget. For example, some records are not available online and requests for the repository to locate and send them can take a while. If you are willing to reimburse for travel to the repository, access can be faster.
No. We perform traditional research using a wide range of records available through online and physical repositories.
All projects start with the required research. Options for delivery of the finished product include PDF research reports, printed pedigree charts, digital family tree creation, photo books, etc. For more info visit our Services page.
While not all questions can be resolved with definitive evidence, it is very unlikely that nothing would be found. The billable hours are for the time spent on researching the project. If the questions are not resolved in the agreed upon time, you will have the option to request additional research or not. If there is a major obstacle that makes a resolution unlikely, you will be notified before spending additional research time.
Consultations are free! All research starts with a $200 retainer that is applied to the billable hours. Time is billed at $40 per hour. For more details visit our Services page.
We are working to set up online payments for accepting credit & debit cards. At this time we are accepting cash, check, or money orders. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Gift certificates can be made available; however, we are not set up to receive online payments at this time. Payment would need to be made by cash, check, or money order and the gift certificate will be mailed to you (or directly to the recipient if you prefer). A digital gift certificate can also be emailed after payment is received. We are currently working to set up online payments and apologize for the inconvenience.
